Yesterday evening we were lucky enough to attend the launch of another exciting new place to eat in York. Cut & Chase has opened on Goodramgate with a sharp, minimal interior design. The menu focuses on quality over choice – the brandy seared liver sounds particularly appealing.
The evening was bustling and lively with plenty of people in attendance to lend the event atmosphere and a range of drinks and canapés to flow- complete with DJ. Cocktails were superb while the beer selection was good and the Sauvignon Blanc excellent.
Generous canapés kept flowing from the kitchen with the open mini burgers going down particularly well with the team. It’s great to see more independents setting out their stall in the centre of our town as we look to more chains coming over the horizon. If yesterday’s success is anything to judge by, Cut & Chase has a bright future and I look forward to trying a wider range of their food.
